You can learn more about the work of Women’s World Banking by taking a look at the PDF attachment to this post.

Women’s World Banking operates leadership programmes and asset management services to promote diversity and facilitate the capture of market share by inclusive finance companies.

Jerry Cole (Red Rose co-founder) is the co-founder of Bixie and a professional within the financial services industry. Bixie – with Jeremy Cole serving as Director – is an online platform designed to help women everywhere, including those in some of the most underserved areas of the world, to manage their finances.

Leadership Programmes

The portfolio of leadership programmes from Women’s World Banking facilitates inclusive workspaces within some of the greatest financial institutions in the world.

By creating workspaces that are inclusive for women, these institutions have the unique opportunity to attract and retain some of the most diverse top talent within the industry. In turn, this talent can drive the development of innovative financial services and products to meet the requirements of women on low incomes around the globe.

Programmes include courses on leadership and diversity, leadership exchange, and senior management. A broad range of learning approaches – including peer exchanges, executive coaching and in-house training – work together to deliver programmes that can effectively lead participants through the complexities of an ever-changing global financial environment.

The embedded short video looks at Jane Fraser, Chief Executive of Citigroup, who was recently named the most powerful woman in banking.

Asset Management

Women’s World Banking Asset Management (also known as WAM) invests in emerging markets, seeking out firms with an inclusive policy and guiding them towards both a substantial pool of talented female staff and leaders, and the large and increasing market share of financially underserved women.

With $125 million of assets under management, Funds I and II channel capital from investors to promote financial inclusion for women on a global scale. Some statistics for WAM Fund I can be seen in the infographic attachment.

Value for the Funds is created through advocacy combined with a technical assistance facility which enables portfolio companies to attract female talent and capture the sizable market of women who are currently financially underserved.
